I work relationally, which means I pay attention not only to the difficulties you bring, but also to how those difficulties may have developed through your experiences and relationships over time. Together, we may think about patterns from the past, how they appear in your current relationships, and sometimes how they emerge between us in the therapeutic relationship itself.
I believe that meaningful change often begins with developing a deeper understanding of ourselves rather than trying to force change too quickly. Therapy offers an opportunity to slow down, reflect, and make sense of patterns that may have become difficult to see on our own.
Alongside thoughts and emotions, I am interested in how experience is held in the body. Emotional difficulties are often felt physically as tension, anxiety, exhaustion, numbness, or a sense of disconnection. Paying attention to these experiences can sometimes open up new ways of understanding ourselves and what we may be carrying.
My approach is collaborative and responsive to the individual. I try to work at a pace that feels manageable, balancing curiosity with care, and allowing space for uncertainty, emotion, and new ways of understanding to emerge.
I do not see therapy as offering simple answers, but as a process of thinking together that can create the conditions for growth, change, and a fuller engagement with life.
I am a psychotherapist working with adults. Alongside private practice, I have experience working in mental health settings and with people facing a wide range of emotional and relational difficulties.
People come to therapy for many different reasons. Some arrive with a clear problem they would like help with, while others are struggling with a more general sense of feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or dissatisfied with life. Whatever brings you, I aim to offer a thoughtful and welcoming space where we can explore your experience together.
My training has emphasised the importance of self-reflection, curiosity, and the therapeutic relationship itself. I value creating an environment where people feel able to think, feel, and speak freely, without fear of judgement or pressure to be a particular way.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
