My Approach

I offer a strength-based & trauma-informed, compassionate approach.
I will work collaboratively with individuals, couples and adult family groups.
I aim to build a safe therapeutic space with you, to enable us to explore your concerns & dilemmas together.
I also can work outdoors in nature if this is a preference.

About Me

I am a Systemic Family & Couple Therapist with a small independent practice with couples, families & individuals.
I currently work part-time in the NHS, within an adult mental health service, offering Family & Couple Psychotherapy.
I bring my depth of clinical experience as well as my life experience to all my therapeutic relationships.
I have enjoyed a career within a wide range of settings and I bring these skills to my work, to work in collaboration with you towards taking positive steps.
I have a small independent practice.
I love dog-walking & the great outdoors, exploring in nature. I volunteer with a conservation group within a biodiverse country park.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I facilitate conversations about the devastating impact of loss and the grief that can ensue.
A change in our health can bring many changes to many areas of our lives: work, relationships, leisure, self-confidence & mood, and our roles. I think with people about their experience, working collaboratively towards the possibility of an increased sense of well-being & worth, amidst the physical & emotional changes.
Couple relationships can experience times of stress & change that may lead to feelings of confusion, doubts or instability. I can offer a space where you can each feel heard, exploring your hopes & expectations, towards increased understanding. Usually we will meet altogether, though it can be useful on occasions for each to have an individual session, at the beginning of the therapy process.
I work with a range of adult family constellations.
I work with individuals to talk about their significant relationships, and can bring those people together in sessions.
