My Approach

You might be struggling with depression, anxiety or a feeling of dissatisfaction with life that you can't shake. Things can get better.

I have received much longer, in-depth training and can work with both short-term problems and help uncover some of the challenges of childhood, of relationships, of more entrenched distress and longer-term issues, making room for both sadness and joy in our work together.

We'll build a trusting relationship, have brave conversations and you'll grow more comfortable in sharing some of your thoughts and feelings with me. Everything is up for discussion. Whether that's challenging family relationships or the inter-generational trauma of systemic oppression, there is no conversation we cannot have.

Together we'll be curious and supportive of your experience, become aware of some of the repeating patterns of relating that no longer serve your growth and wellbeing and slowly, gently, life will start feeling warmer and brighter. Things that you've held on to and perhaps feel a deep sense of shame about, will be held gently and kindly and be given light, air and acceptance.

About Me

Updated July 2026 - Two spaces remaining for people, straight and queer, who want to know and understand their sex, sexuality, desires and intimate relationships better. I consider it a sign of bravery that you’re thinking about coming to see me for therapy. We all experience difficult and painful things in life and we all need other people to lean on, to help us through some of the more painful or challenging situations or to help us grow into kind, loving people. Working together, you'll move towards feeling better and showing up differently in the world. Together, life can get brighter.

Emotional distress can be caused by lots of different things, commonly: Past experiences, such as challenges with parents, siblings and childhood trauma; Concerns about the future, such as the impending loss of a job or loved one; Challenges that you are experiencing right now, such as unhappiness in your relationships and feeling anxious and down.
Life can feel heavy and bleak, like there’s no hope and that nothing will change. Therapy with a skilled therapist can help you make changes, both in how you feel about life, and more widely. Things that feel overwhelming today will begin to get easier and over time, through our work together, life will get brighter.

In my eighth year of training, a practicing therapist for three and qualified, I've yet to complete my Masters, so am able to offer considerably reduced price sessions on a sliding scale from £55 to £80 (full price £90/session) depending on your income. Low-cost sessions at £55/session are now full.
