About Me

I understand that deciding to seek therapy can be a big decision, and reaching out for help can feel like a big step. You may be experiencing traumatic, worrying or difficult feelings, emotions and thoughts and may know that there is a specific issue or experience you want to address, or you may just feel that something isn’t right, and life could feel better.

I believe that whatever your reason for coming to therapy, it is the relationship between client and therapist that is most important in bringing about change. Through providing a safe, supportive, non-judgemental and confidential space we can work collaboratively to explore whatever is happening for you, at your own pace. Where trust can be built, in a space where you can feel seen and heard.

We can look at how past experiences and relationships may be impacting present difficulties. Over time, being able to understand and identify what is causing suffering can help ease distressing feelings and improve the quality of life. Being able to develop greater awareness and understanding can help bring about improved ways of relating to others, as well as a better understanding of yourself.

I am a qualified and experienced psychodynamic psychotherapist and counsellor, working with clients in central London, in St Paul’s, across the road from the City Thameslink and 5 minutes’ walk from St Paul’s tube. I offer once a week, open-ended (short and long term), time limited, in person and online therapy.

I work with a range of issues relating to feelings of loss and change, sadness, anxiety, frustration, conflict and anger. Also, with the challenges of eating distress and eating disorders, addiction, bereavement, depression, abuse, sexuality, relationships, work related problems and other issues.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
I completed a rigorous training at WPF Therapy, am registered with UKCP and also a member of the Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling (FPC).

I have worked with clients of all ages from a range of backgrounds and orientations, struggling with a wide range of emotional difficulties. Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, below are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I offer both open ended and time limited psychotherapy in person and/or online.

I work to the Code of Ethics of my Professional Standards Authority Register and have Professional Indemnity Insurance.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I have experience in eating disorders, including eating distress, disordered eating and eating disorders. I offer a whole person approach with compassionate care where we would work together to support you in developing a healthier relationship with food, eating and your body.
