I specialise in working with kids, teens and their parents. I use a combination of talk, play, art and sand-tray therapy. My adult clients who come in thinking they only want to talk, often find the sand tray and singing bowl quite cathartic! My aim with my clients is to give them an outlet for expression. The purpose of that expression is to understand themselves better. That insight into emotions and behaviour translates into improved quality of life. Stress, overwhelm, anger, grief and pain need to be expressed or they cause havoc. It would be my honour to work with you and your child and be a container for these burdens you carry.
I will provide you with relief, understanding and, where appropriate, challenge. To do this I will be drawing on my integrative training and several years of experience working with children, young people and adults. We will talk, listen and play at your pace. We will work towards developing stronger coping mechanisms and overall personal growth.
The relationship between us is the most important tool for effective psychotherapy. Come and meet me so you can decide if you feel we are the right fit to work together. The first step is for us to schedule a free 15 minute conversation in which you may describe what is going on for your and your family.
In the meantime, go slow and be well.
I am Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychotherapist. My practice is based in North West London, and on-line if needed. I am also happy to work outside. From our first session together you can expect a warm reception and invitation to describe what has brought you to psychotherapy at this time.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
