My approach is integrative, relational and tailored to your individual needs. I believe that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process, and I draw on different therapeutic perspectives to understand your experiences and what may be helpful to you.
I see the therapeutic relationship as central to the work. I aim to create a space where you feel able to speak openly, explore difficult experiences and question familiar ways of thinking and relating. I am an engaged and active therapist; I may ask questions, offer reflections or gently challenge you when I feel it could be helpful.
We can explore how past experiences may be shaping your present, recognise patterns in your relationships and develop a deeper understanding of the thoughts, feelings and behaviours that influence your life.
My name is Aurélie and I am an Integrative Psychotherapist. I offer counselling and psychotherapy to adults, helping them make sense of their experiences, understand themselves and their relationships, and make changes that matter to them.
I have a particular interest in attachment and how our early relationships shape the way we see ourselves, relate to others and navigate life. I work with people experiencing relationship difficulties, anxiety, low self-worth, difficulties with boundaries or major life transitions.
My work is grounded in the belief that each person's story is unique and that understanding it can open up new ways of relating to ourselves and others.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
