I work as an integrative psychotherapist, combining several therapeutic approaches according to each client's needs. My primary training is in Gestalt psychotherapy (MSc), complemented by specialist training in EMDR and couples therapy through The Couples Institute (USA). I also draw on existential and somatic perspectives, integrating these approaches within a coherent therapeutic process rather than following a single model.
I help professionals who are living under sustained pressure, people who appear to be coping while privately feeling exhausted, stuck or increasingly disconnected from themselves. I offer psychotherapy in Lewes, Friston (Eastbourne) and online wherever you are, drawing on nearly twenty years of clinical experience with a deep understanding of high-responsibility working lives.
I am a UKCP-accredited psychotherapist with an MSc from the renowned Metanoia Institute, London. I work online with clients across the UK and internationally, and in person from my consulting rooms in Lewes and Friston. I offer long-term and short-term therapy, and also focused, short-term packages for specific issues, which can be tailor-made on request. If you are looking for clear, confidential, psychologically serious work, then you are welcome to get in touch.
Is this for you?
You are competent. You deliver. From the outside, things look fine, possibly enviable. Privately, something is wearing thin: sleep, patience, motivation, the sense that any of this still means what it used to.
People in demanding roles often arrive at therapy later than they should and usually after trying everything else first. Coaching, a holiday, a new routine, a course, an app. These can help. Sometimes, though, they aren't enough because the thing that needs attention sits deeper than performance.
I work with people who are functioning, often exceptionally well, but know deep down that something has to change. I provide a place to understand what is driving these patterns, make sense of difficult emotional experiences, and develop ways of living that feel more sustainable. My approach is thoughtful, collaborative and practical.
Training, qualifications & experience
My background
I am a UKCP-accredited psychotherapist with almost two decades of clinical experience and an MSc in Psychotherapy from the Metanoia Institute in London. I came to this work after several earlier careers, having lived and worked in different parts of the world. I bring my understanding of the demands of working life and different cultures into my consulting room.
My background is academic as well as clinical. I worked as a university researcher and an editor, and I hold two MA degrees in the humanities alongside my psychotherapy training. For several years, I taught the Gestalt module on the post-MA Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy at Regent's University, London, and I continue to run webinars for organisations and workshops for fellow professionals on a variety of topics.
Since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, I have supported organisations, leaders and professionals working under extraordinary pressure of the war time. This work, carried out both in Ukraine and online, has deepened my understanding of resilience, responsibility and the psychological impact of prolonged uncertainty.
I am trilingual, working in English, Ukrainian and Russian. I see clients online across the UK and internationally, and in person in Lewes. The people I work with are usually capable and composed on the outside while carrying a great deal underneath, and they want somewhere serious to think and deal with their emotional experience. If that is what you are looking for, I would be glad to hear from you.
