My Approach

I work humanistically, which means I believe in your capacity for growth and self-understanding. Rather than fixing problems for you or telling you what to do, my role is to create a space where we explore what is happening, understand its origins, and find a way forward together. I am an active therapist: I ask questions, share reflections, and stay engaged throughout the process, so you are never working things out on your own.
Therapy with me is relational. The relationship between us is built on honesty, warmth, and genuine curiosity, and it is part of what makes change possible. I bring myself into the room as a real, present person. Over time, clients discover a stronger sense of what they need, so their relationships can begin to feel more mutual and fulfilling.

About Me

I am a humanistic psychotherapist, 53, and have lived in the UK for the past 30 years; before that, in Finland and North Africa, which gives me lived experience of immigrant life. I work with people navigating relationship challenges: affairs, betrayals, breakups, and the loneliness and low self-confidence that often follow.

You might be thinking: "I struggle to meet anyone…", "I can't stop thinking about my ex…", "I find it difficult to end my current relationship…", "I am anxious about filing for divorce…", "I seem to attract the wrong people all the time…", or "My mother or other family members create lots of stress in my life." Emotionally, you might be feeling "I don't understand what's happening to me," "I don't feel like myself anymore…," or "I feel stuck and don't know how to move forward."

I know how vulnerable it can feel to reach out for support. My aim is to offer a calm, steady and respectful space where you can begin to breathe again. Email or call me to book a free 15-minute, no-pressure chat, and we will see whether this feels like the right fit for you.

I am dedicated to anti-oppressive practice and continually developing my work with neurodivergent (ADHD and autism) and LGBTQIA+ clients. My aim is to provide a safe, inclusive, and affirming space where every individual feels respected, heard, and supported.
