My Approach

My therapeutic approach is integrative and deeply trauma-informed, meaning I adapt our sessions to your specific needs rather than fitting your experience into a single model. At the heart of my practice is the belief that the challenges we face, while painful, can also become pathways to deeper self-understanding and wholeness when explored in a secure environment.

To support this process, I incorporate somatic EMDR into my work. This helps us address and resolve trauma held within the physical body, combining psychological insights with a focus on somatic awareness. Whether you are navigating relationship difficulties, managing life transitions, or processing past trauma, we will work collaboratively at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My aim is always to build a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental relationship where every aspect of your story is welcome.

About Me

I am a registered transpersonal integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor with extensive experience running a dedicated private practice. Having trained at the Psychosynthesis Trust in London, my work focuses on a holistic understanding of the human experience, looking beyond immediate symptoms to support lasting growth, healing, and personal meaning.

Alongside my private practice, I contribute to clinical research within the UK as a session monitor for clinical trials. This involvement keeps my work firmly grounded in recent developments in mental health science and contemporary clinical care. I offer a supportive, professional space for both individuals and couples, providing sessions online and in person. I am also able to conduct therapy fluently in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, allowing me to closely support clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

Anxiety Anxiety often feels like an overwhelming wave of worry or a constant state of physical tension. In our sessions, we work to understand the underlying roots of these fears while developing practical grounding tools. By bringing awareness to both your mind and body, you can learn to regulate your nervous system, quieten the internal noise, and regain a sense of calm and control in your daily life.
Depression can feel like a heavy weight that drains your energy, leaving you feeling disconnected, hopeless, or stuck in a fog. Rather than simply trying to brush these feelings away, we gently explore what this low mood might be trying to communicate. Together, we work to process underlying grief or unexpressed emotions, gradually restoring your connection to your vitality, purpose, and a sense of meaning.
Post-traumatic stress can make the world feel permanently unsafe, keeping you trapped in hypervigilance, flashbacks, or intrusive thoughts. I use somatic EMDR to help your brain and body safely reprocess these stuck traumatic memories. This specialised way of working allows the nervous system to finally release the survival energy of the past, reducing physical distress and allowing you to feel secure in the present moment.
Relational challenges can bring immense clarity or deep distress, whether you are looking to understand your own recurring patterns or working through difficulties within a partnership. I welcome and support all relationship configurations, including monogamous, polyamorous, and open structures, as well as unconventional dynamics. Our work focuses on improving communication, establishing healthy boundaries, and fostering deeper emotional intimacy in a safe, non-judgemental space.
When we experience trauma, the past can remain deeply active in our present lives, showing up as sudden emotional triggers, boundary difficulties, or a persistent feeling of disconnect. My approach is gentle and collaborative, focusing on building safety first. Together, we explore these painful experiences at a pace that respects your boundaries, helping you process the memories so they no longer dictate how you live today.
