I take a holistic approach, believing human beings are multi dimensional with many conscious and unconscious aspects of their selves. I offer an honest, supportive, non-judgemental and warm environment for you to explore the full range of your experiences.
I work with a wide range of events and associated issues, some of these include relationships, trauma, oppression, bereavement, abuse, identity, trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression. I particularly welcome clients wishing to explore gender identity, transition, sexuality and other S2GBTQIA+ issues.
My psychotherapy training is based in a Humanistic and Integrative approach. This means I believe in the unique perspective of each individual and draw from different theoretical approaches to support and value you for who you are. Many of us have parts of ourself we do not like or wish to change, and I offer a compassion based approach to getting to know our more difficult parts of self.
I view the relationship between us as important and part of the healing process. Therapy is a collaborative and shared journey we will co-create. Many difficult feelings and experiences may be the product of our relationships; the therapeutic relationship can not only help us to better understand our connection with others but also our relationship with ourselves.
I am a UKCP registered Psychotherapist and a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I offer a free 20 minute phone or video consultation for anyone interested in working with me, and I am happy to answer any questions via email as well. Please reach out via email if you would like to schedule a consultation or ask me any questions.
I am a fully qualified Psychotherapist working remotely with British clients, and in person in Ontario, Canada. I am a graduate of the Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling and have maintained a private practice since 2017. I also previously worked in a University counselling setting, providing short term and crisis support to individuals with a focus on supporing transgender people. While I have listed a number of specialties and interests here, I am open to discussing any issue or subject under the sun. I am fascinated by the range of human experience and have a deep curiosity about person's unique set of feelings, experiences, joys and difficulties. I have experience of long term depth-oriented work, and short term, solution-focused work.
My current fee is £55 per session. I offer a sliding scale. I also offer a free initial 20 minute phone conversation. If you are interested in scheduling one or have any questions, please email me on seasaidh@gmail.com.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
