I offer a strong, safe and non-judgemental therapeutic space that will enable you gain deeper understanding of yourself and your relational dynamics. We’ll explore the experiences that have shaped you and their impact, holding dual awareness on the difficulties that have bought you to therapy and your early childhood and family dynamics.
I’ll listen deeply to what you share. At times this material is likely to be troublesome and so we'll search with curiosity and care. Rather than focusing on what's wrong with you, we’ll explore what happened to you, offering a more soulful, less compassionate perspective on your experiences.
We'll use soulful methods such as storytelling, imagery, archetypes and dreams, and focus on body awareness and emotional states. In doing so the therapeutic relationship provides a creative space where your imagination can help connect and express hidden thoughts and feelings.
In this way we can uncover what’s emerging within you, reconnecting you with your inner wisdom and helping you foster meaningful change.
My approach to counselling and psychotherapy integrates trauma-informed practices with a soulful perspective, drawing on transpersonal psychology, Jungian, Gestalt and psychodynamic methods to support a deeper exploration of the unconscious mind, unresolved emotional issues and underlying psychological patterns.
I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling and an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Transpersonal Psychotherapy from Re-Vision, and I’m a registered member of both BACP and UKCP, adhering to the ethical codes of both organisations.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
