I have been practising as a psychotherapist since 1997. My original training, was in attachment-based psychoanalytic psychotherapy, at what is now known as the Bowlby Centre, was in London, between 1996 and 2000.
I have carried out two further psychotherapy trainings. One was in EMDR: I have completed all three leveles of EMDR training. The other is Sensorimotor Psychotherapy training, which I commenced in 2010, and from which I graduated as a certified practitioner in April 2017. I am a member of the Hallam Institute, and was its Chair between October 2017 and May 2021.
I continue to work with the most extraordinary diversity of clients and have developed a particular specialism around somatoform disorders: chronic fatigue, irritable bowel syndrome, non-epileptic seizures, fibromyalgia etc.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
