About Me

Hi, I’m a UKCP fully registered psychotherapist and clinical hypnotherapist working in Guildford as well as online, specialising in anxiety, depression and trauma (including childhood trauma). I know it is not always easy to admit to ourselves that we may need help, let alone ask for it. I’m glad you have already come this far.

In my practice I aim to help you find solutions to your personal, professional or relational problems. Perhaps things don't make sense at home or at work anymore and you feel anxious, tired and/or depressed. You may feel lost or struggle to understand why you can’t just stop that annoying/unhelpful feeling or behaviour. Or perhaps you want to know why you have a feeling that no matter how hard you try or achieve you never feel good enough.

I offer a very personalised approach that is specifically tailored to suit your needs and use many different approaches and techniques to achieve this. I aim to understand you as an individual, in the context of your own life and environment so that your solutions are appropriate, effective and long lasting. In your first session we will discuss your concerns and how therapy may help you. You will have the opportunity to ask questions, gain a deeper understanding of what therapy is all about and how we will work together to resolve your concerns. We will work at your own pace ensuring that you feel comfortable and safe to explore the issues that brought you here.

My practice is founded in empathy and understanding, and whatever you are going through or trying to resolve, it is important and significant and deserves a professional, caring and confidential approach. I also understand that finding a solution in a timely manner is very important and will use approaches that match your preferences and needs to ensure our work together is effective and efficient. I do not have a magic wand that will make your problems disappear, but I have helped clients to rediscover their qualities and abilities so that they were able to find their own magic that changed their lives!
