My Approach

I am passionate about working in a non-judgemental and strengths-based way with families, couples and individuals. I am keen to learn about what successes you have and what has gone well, in order to harness these experiences to face your current challenges. I recognise that coming to therapy can be anxiety provoking, so focus on fostering safety within our work together and am keen not to downplay the difficulties you are experiencing. I hope that balancing lightness and humour with learning about and considering your challenges in more depth makes the space feel engaging and for change to be more possible.

About Me

I am a systemic family therapist with a decade of experience in the NHS, spanning CAMHS, specialist perinatal and learning disability services. My prior core profession is as an occupational therapist and I have additional training as a sensory integration therapist, and as a yoga teacher. I have experience providing therapy across the lifespan, from young children to older adults, and adapting approaches to suit online working.

I work with

  • Children and young people
  • Couples
  • Families
  • Individuals
  • Private healthcare referrals

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I have experience working in specialist NHS CAMHS services for looked after children, and providing family therapy interventions within the Adoption Support Fund.
I have personal and professional experience working with chronic illnesses and disability, and am keen to think about systemic work within this space.
I am keen to work with you and your family system across different lifecycle stages and challenges, whatever your configuration.
I have had training on couple relationships and am familiar with emotion-focused models of therapy, as well as the Exeter Model of couples therapy for depression.
I have additional training in trauma-informed and focused approaches including Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy and Attachment Narrative Therapy.
