Hello and Welcome, I am Alexia! I am a UKCP-accredited psychotherapist in London. I offer psychotherapy to improve your relationships, whether they are romantic relationships, work, friends. I help you look at what is holding you back from being fully yourself in relationships. Hi, I am Alexia, a BPA and UKCP-accredited Psychotherapist. I help you improve your relationships (romantic, professional, friends, family). I also have a lot of experience working with the meaning of money, fears around money, power dynamics related to money within the family or couple.
I am trained in psychodrama psychotherapy (UKCP) and I hold a Master of Sciences in Theoretical Psychoanalysis from UCL which informs the way I work.
I work with a combination of verbal and embodied techniques, bringing together psychodrama psychotherapy techniques and the depth of psychoanalytic theory and practice. I have also trained in Transgenerational Psychotherapy at the Anne Ancelin Schutzerber School.
I have worked in charities (CCIWBS, CPU), in the NHS (Lambeth Integrated Psychological Therapy Team, Greenwood Centre, and finally East London Foundation Trust), and for a private clinic (The Blue Door Practice). The NHS centers where I worked specialized in providing therapeutic services to adults with complex and enduring difficulties ("secondary care").
I provide a safe and confidential space where we can explore your difficulties in relating to others.
By bringing gentle awareness of your situation, you have the opportunity to make sense of what is going on for you, so that you can find more freedom and energy in living your life. Psychotherapy is a healing process that necessitates your participation and investment as well as mine, in order to find a new and freer way of living.
I offer individual, couple, and group psychotherapy sessions in Central London in English and in French.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
