My Approach

With a background in Transpersonal Integrative Psychotherapy, I combine various therapeutic approaches depending on your most accessible learning style and preferences. I am committed to fostering a trusting, collaborative relationship and aiding clients in growing through their challenges. I am offering a space for self-discovery and transformation.

I might ask you to complete specific tasks designed to help you develop more practical skills. This approach often involves homework assignments. I draw on many techniques, including visualisation, dream exploration, drawing, role-play, inner-child work, writing, and the most familiar method: a conversation between two people.

About Me

Therapy can be extremely challenging and freeing, fun and daunting.
I am familiar with the process and know the importance of finding the right person. What I mean by this is not who presents well on paper, but to whom your gut, your irrational, instinctual nature, says YES.

Over the years, I have worked with clients dealing with depression, anxiety, complex trauma, suicidal crisis, bereavement, relationship issues and questions of Spirituality and Meaning, such as Who am I?

At the heart of my practice and for the work to be successful is the relationship between the therapist and the client, so an exploratory meeting is essential. An initial consultation will determine whether it feels right for us to work together, and at that time, we will agree on a fixed number of sessions or a more open-ended arrangement.

Our work together will begin with a period of getting to know you, during which we will discuss the area you would like to transform.

I trained at the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education (CCPE) in London. I hold a Post-Graduate Diploma in Transpersonal and Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, accredited by the UKCP and validated by the University of Northampton.

My counselling and therapeutic experience includes working at
The Putneymead Group Medical Practice NHS, www.putneymead.co.uk
Kingston Woman Centre, www.kingstonwomancentre.org.uk
Maytree, respite for people in suicidal crisis, www.maytree.org.uk
Working with the Grenfell Tower survivors. www.hestia.org and in private practice.

I undertook my psychiatric placement at The Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust in South London.
I currently see clients in London, UK.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

For victims and survivors of bullying, our work focuses on building skills to communicate assertively and to stand up for one's authority.
Survivors of sexual abuse often present with complex trauma.
Understanding that trauma impacts neurological, biological and psychological development.
