My Approach

I use an integrative approach, meaning that I combine talking therapy with creative techniques and mindfulness. I find that creativity can unlock thoughts and feelings that are difficult to put into words. Taking a moment to breathe and get back in touch with our body in moments of distress can help us learn to regulate our emotions. With younger children, play is at the centre of the work.

About Me

I am a Child, Adolescent & Adult Psychotherapist working in-person in Hackney and Shoreditch, East London. I specialise in working with teenagers and young adults. With 8+ years of experience working in state, independent, international, and boarding schools, I am experienced in supporting young people from all backgrounds with a wide range of issues including anxiety, low mood, neurodiversity, stress, grief, and relationship issues.

I have a specific interest in working with young people struggling with change, transitions, and identity issues. Change and uncertainty can be terrifying, but having the right support can help you cope, or even thrive.

I work with

  • Individuals

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

Anxiety can manifest in so many different ways and is a very common reason that people come to therapy. This could stem from the transition to university, sixth form, college, or secondary school. Perhaps it's coming from exam stress, bullying, body image, changes at home, or identity issues such as questioning one's sexuality or gender. I am experienced in supporting children and young people with a wide range of anxieties.
I have a specific interest in identity-related issues. Perhaps you are questioning your gender or sexuality. Or maybe you have a complex relationship with your religious or cultural identity. Unfortunately we live in a world that weaponises difference. My practice is anti-racist, LGBTQ+ affirming, and centres an awareness of intersectionality. I am also experienced in working with young people with multi-national or third culture identities, as well as individuals who have moved frequently or attended boarding school. I believe that therapy can help us unpack and process questions about who are in a safe, non-judgmental space.
While individual sessions are confidential, I work systemically, which means I collaborate with parents and carers of children and adolescents under 16. My stance is that parents are the experts on their own children, but together we will think about how to support your child’s emotional wellbeing at home. In addition to individual therapy for children and young people, I also offer reflective parenting sessions. This is typically short term work (6-12 sessions) and is a dedicated space for you to pause, reflect, and respond with greater curiosity and compassion. These sessions can help shift patterns of conflict and strengthen your relationship with your child.
