An opportunity has arisen to lead the Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy College (HIPC), the part of UKCP that regulates practitioners and training/accrediting organisations following humanistic and/or integrative forms of psychotherapy. This opportunity comes at a time when UKCP is reviewing its governance arrangements. A key part of the role will involve reshaping HIPC to meet the demands of that process.
The postholder will also be responsible for implementing a number of recommendations from Brian Linfield’s Report on the Functioning of the Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy College (HIPC) Executive Committee.
The successful candidate will be a UKCP/HIPC member with extensive experience and understanding of relationship‑based, humanistic methods of engagement and their application in governance, chairing committees and structural oversight. They will bring strong judgement, diplomacy and communication skills, and be confident operating within governance and regulatory frameworks.
