When we are suffering, it can often feel like there is no way out. The feelings we experience tend to obscure any possible value that may be contained in what we are going through. Hard as it is to believe at the time, our periods of so-called darkness often contain great gifts. It is not for nothing that well-worn phrases such as ‘it is darkest before dawn’ and ‘wake-up call’ have been coined.
Whether you are suffering or not, I aim to provide a secure space where you can feel safe to explore whatever you wish to bring to therapy. As an integrative therapist, I work using a variety of methods, but whatever the method that suggests itself, the intention of the therapy is to facilitate that within you which has the capacity for transformation. It is this faith in our innate potential as human beings that I keep at the heart of the therapy I offer.
I bring experience of working with many issues. Having had long careers both in teaching and in broadcast media, I also have an understanding of the stresses and challenges involved in those professions.
