My Approach

As an Integrative Child & Adult Psychotherapist, I have an in-depth knowledge of the impact that childhood has on who we become as adults. With this experience, I am creative in the way that I work with unpacking trauma and everyday life. Sometimes we might use art, music, journaling and metaphor to make sense of your feelings - but equally there’s no pressure if this makes you feel uncomfortable.

My approach is directed by compassion, challenge and humour. My first priority will to ensure that therapy feels like a safe space for you, allowing us to create a human to human relationship together. We will also think about your current lifestyle, and areas for improvement within your self-care and relationship with yourself. Once you feel more equipped, we will begin to work with rockier territory to help you heal through historical difficulties.

I will be a partner on your journey, in place to acknowledge and challenge you as you find yourself.

About Me

**Currently not taking any new clients for 2023**

As an integrative child and adult psychotherapist, my training includes psychodynamic, humanistic and creative approaches to therapy. I believe that the mind and body are always linked in all that we do, therefore I take a trauma-informed perspective with all things emotional health. As a Black British woman, I bring intersectionality to all aspects of my role as a therapist, and encourage my clients to explore their own relationships with race/culture, gender, sexuality, disability, body type etc. For me, this should be paramount for all therapists.

I am trained and confident in working with children, young people, adults and groups. My experience spans working in schools, community services, higher education and private practise. My work with private clients is currently online only, for short term and long term therapy.

I am also a writer and content creator, passionate about making conversations about mental health accessible and relatable to millennial audiences and marginalised communities.
