I am an Integrative psychotherapist which means that I have trained in and can draw on a variety of theoretical models and techniques, to suit the needs of my clients, the types of issues that they bring and what they hope to gain from the therapy.
I trained and qualified at Regents University, in the school of Psychotherapy and Counselling Psychology in London, where I completed a Masters degree in Psychotherapy & Counselling and an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy.
In addition to my private psychotherapy practice I have over 15 years’ experience in the field of social care. My psychotherapy experience also includes work with students in higher education within a university counselling service, and for MIND with a diverse and varied client group.
The main theoretical models I draw on are psychodynamic theory; Attachment-based models, and Humanistic psychotherapy and I take a Person-Centred approach.
I can offer short-term counselling for clients who wish to focus on a specific problem for a brief period of time (usually 6-18 sessions) and open-ended, longer term psychotherapy for more comprehensive exploration of longer standing issues.
