We all have times in life when we need support. Often we can face difficulties in understanding ourselves, trusting others or communicating our needs. You may need support in resolving conflict and alleviating distress or wish to develop a better understanding of yourself. I offer culturally sensitive therapy to individuals and couples.
I completed my psychotherapy training at the Metanoia Institute, quailfying as a Clinical Transactional Analyst Psychotherapist. As an integrative therapist I draw on various modalities, believing each client deserves their own individualised therapy. I have worked in various clinical and charity settings, providing individual and group therapy to survivors of abuse & trauma, oppressed & marginalised groups and sufferers of severe anxiety and depression.
My work is grounded in a philosophy of inclusiveness and embraces all cultures and identities. I have a deep regard for ordinary human suffering and welcome all experiences you may bring into the therapy room.
While I have experience working with a wide range of psychological and emotional issues, my particular interests lie in the dynamics of power in relationships, mostly within the context of abuse, trauma, culture, identity and everyday personal and professional relationships. I have significant experience working with people affected by Autism and other neurodiverse conditions.
As you are unique, your therapy process with me will be unique. My priority is to create a shared confidential space, where you can make sense of your experiences, enabling you to gain a deeper understanding of yourself.
I believe relationships are at the heart of being human and our difficulties can be understood through how we connect to ourselves and others around us. Thus, exploring the ebb and flow of our unique relationship will be central to the therapeutic effectiveness of our work together.
Using my skills, knowledge, intuition, humour and empathic challenge, I will support you in navigating your internal world and help you understand how you relate to people and your environment.
I genuinely believe if you are ready to receive the structure and support you need, you can make a change
