You may be feeling stuck or anxious in your life. Perhaps you are dealing with relationship issues, bereavement or loss, or difficulties in particular areas of your life which may seem insurmountable or confusing, or perhaps you just want to know more about yourself and what leads you to get into particular situations or relationships which may feel unproductive, destructive or unsatisfying.
Therapy offers a confidential setting which can provide the possibility to explore these issues to gain more awareness and clarity about what might be getting in the way of you feeling more at ease with yourself. The work can open up new possibilities of understanding and different perspectives so as to gain more choices in how you live your life and different ways of being in the world.
I am an experienced psychotherapist (registered with UKCP since 1998) working with adults in private practice. My approach is underpinned by a view that our sense of ourselves is impacted on by our early formative relationships and experiences, and how this can have a subsequent effect on the way we feel about ourselves, live our lives, and enter into relationships and situations in the present. It also incorporates an acknowledgement of the significance of the wider social context and how this may contribute to and influence how we may think and feel about ourselves in the world.
Fees for Psychotherapy: £60
I also provide supervision to qualified psychotherapists, counsellors and trainees - individually and in groups.
My approach is focussed on developing and supporting the practitioner, viewing supervision as a collaborative process encouraging reflective practice.
I have been supervising since 2005, and gained a Diploma in Group Supervision from the Institute of Group Analysis in 2014.
I taught on an MA in Psychodynamic Counselling in a University where I supervised two groups of trainees a week for over 8 years.
