About Me

If you're thinking of beginning counselling or entering into psychotherapy then that's great - it could be something that has a healing and truly growthful impact on your life. Finding the therapist that 'fits' for you, someone who you feel you can open up to and trust is important, so if you're interested in the potential of working together the first step would usually be for us to have a brief (up to 45 minutes) free and confidential phone call to talk about the possibility of working together. The next step would then be an initial session.

If you want to contact with any enquiries, please do - a link to telephone and email is listed on this page. If you're interested in a little more about how I work and my qualifications then see below.

Why begin Counselling or Psychotherapy?

Life is sometimes hard and confusing, and we can find ourselves stuck, or in pain, and in need of a way to work things through and find the path back to ourselves. I believe that when we choose to take the time to step into the safe, confidential and supportively challenging relational space that counselling and psychotherapy can provide, there is real potential for personal learning, healing and growth. A therapy journey holds the potential for greater self-awareness and connection; the possibility to make changes, grow as a human-being, and to move forward in life with insight and deeper soulfulness.

How I Work:

As a therapist, I work relationally - for me, this means that building trust and offering a space where you can feel heard, understood and valued, whilst also being genuinely challenged to heal and grow without judgment, is an essential foundation in working together with clients. My aim is to be fully present with you in therapy, and to offer a warm and genuine relationship with your well-being at the heart of the work.

My qualifications are a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's Degree in Person-Centred Psychotherapy and Counselling. My Psychotherapy training was a 4 year degree, including my own attendance in therapy for 5 years, a research project and work with clients throughout. I am also UKCP Registered and work to their ethical code of practice. I have held my own private practice since 2015. Since 2019 I have been working as an individual and group supervisor for other therapists.

A little bit more about me...

My areas of personal and professional interest are working with dreams; exploring the dynamics of power in relationships, organisations and society; transpersonal aspects of life; the experience of spirituality within therapy and relationships; themes relating to individual identity and the potential for personal growth during times of emotional and mental turmoil; and understanding and honouring our grieving processes throughout the losses of life.

I love dreams and working with my own dreams in daily life. I also am a fan of poetry and art, and often encourage clients to work in ways that cultivate their own creativity; I try to nurture my own creativity, both as a human and therapist, as much as possible.
