I am a qualified and registered Psychotherapist, Clinical Supervisor and Couples Therapist with more than 20 years' experience of working with adult clients in private practice and NHS settings. I completed my professional training at The Minster Centre in London in 1999. The Minster Centre's training is a postgraduate programme (typically 5-6 years) recognised by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). Since qualifying, I have undertaken further professional training in Supervision (at CPPD in London) and Couples Therapy (at The Centre for Relational Couples Therapy in Gloucestershire).
Integrative Psychotherapy aims to bring different therapeutic models, methods and philosophies together in a principled way. My approach integrates elements of contemporary psychoanalytic psychotherapy with a Humanistic emphasis on a direct and real relationship. I also incorporate into my practice some principles of Brief Dynamic Psychotherapy and Emotion-Focused Therapy, which clinical outcomes research has shown to be effective across a range of difficulties.
