I am an Attachment-Based Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor trained at The Bowlby Centre. I am a registered psychotherapist with experience in private practice, the NHS and voluntary sector. I have experience of working with clients on a short-term basis as well as open-ended therapy. I am an active member of the Bowlby Centre, in London, where I have experience of teaching Trainee Psychotherapists. I work in English and French. Prior to training as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist, I worked in Business Development and Executive Coaching in international corporates for nearly 20 years.
My private practice is located in Islington, London and Bournemouth and Christchurch in Dorset.
The way I practise psychotherapy is deeply relational. My work is strongly influenced by attachment theory, with its emphasis on stability and security. It accentuates the importance of our early attachment patterns and their impact on our relationships in adulthood. Psychoanalysis thinking is also central to my practice. A relational psychotherapist approach explores unconscious thoughts and motivations and gain insight on our repeated patterns of behaviour, which often do not serve our interpersonal relationships and personal growth.
