Working with children

Tara is a qualified Integrative Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist, and has been working with children and their families since 2010 in roles based in schools, palliative care settings, and in an in-patient eating disorders unit.

Tara draws upon a range of theoretical frameworks to inform her work, including psychodynamic, attachment-based, and neuroscience, and uses these along with creative arts to provide a safe, collaborative and non-judgemental space. Her work is relationship based and she is skilled in making links with children and young people through the use of play, art and talk-based therapy.

As well as working in private practice, Tara currently works as an independent psychotherapist in a large primary school and is also the Clinical Manager of a busy multi-disciplinary private mental health practice for children and families.
