Dr Karen Mason
ClinPsyD; C Psychol; Memb Inst.GA
I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with more than twenty years’ experience of working in NHS Adult Mental Health Services and employed at Consultant level for 14 years prior to my retirement from the NHS.
I have experience of working with a range of presenting problems at all levels of complexity. My primary psychotherapeutic approach is psychodynamic but I have experience of other therapeutic models which I use as required.
If you decide that you would like to book a consultation, I will do my best to answer your question. I will ask you about your reasons for seeking therapy and your history/life experiences, to begin to consider what factors may be relevant to your current difficulties. We would look at whether therapy could be helpful to you, agree what the focus of the work might be and talk about what it would involve.
