It may be emotional distress, depression, or a confusing work situation, perhaps difficulty in a relationship, overwhelming loss, or the effects of traumatic events and unresolved issues. You might be suffering with seemingly unexplainable physical symptoms or low self-esteem – the reasons could be numerous.
I have many years’ experience working with people in distress, helping to resolve various situations. The first step is often difficult; you can write to me directly or call to discuss how to get started.
I am an Integrative Psychotherapist and Supervisor. I am bilingual in English and Russian and comfortable working in both languages. I offer a respectful, supportive, and safe space as well as my expertise in order to facilitate a move towards a more harmonious life. Through exploration of emotions, thoughts, and behavioural patterns, through discussions a new awareness or solution emerges. When needed I use body therapy techniques and work on an energetic level.
I employ a range of appropriate therapeutic skills according to individual needs. I strongly believe that healing happens within a relationship and I always work relationally, as opposed to the “blank-screen” mode. My practice relies on knowledge in developmental psychology, psychodynamic, body therapy techniques, and sometimes hypnosis. Often I use very effective PessoBoyden therapeutic system. I also believe that humour, being a part of our every-day relationships, needs to be present in the therapy room.
I work both short- and long term. The length of the therapy, as well as some other aspects of work, is subject to our mutual agreement. Sessions usually last for 50 minutes, once a week. In some circumstances, especially in crisis situations, I offer twice a week meetings. I also see couples for 1.5 hourly sessions.
