Joe Moran is a registered psychotherapist working private in Central and East London. He works with couples and individuals offering short to long-term counselling and psychotherapy, focused on the individual or couple’s needs and goals. Joe works with a varied client group with those from a range of social, cultural and professional backgrounds. Joe is experienced in working with issues related to depression, anxiety, relationships, family, employment, career and personal finance, life crisis and life changes, loss and bereavement, sexuality and sexual identity, additional and spiritual concerns. Joe uses an ‘integrative’ approach drawing upon humanist, psychodynamic, existential and transpersonal approaches in which he trained. Joe has also worked extensively with young professionals and those working in the arts and the creative and cultural industries.

Joe Moran is registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the UK Council of Psychotherapy (UKCP). He trained at the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education (CCPE) in West London, and holds a Masters (2006-08), Postgraduate Diploma (2001-04) and Certificate in Counselling and Psychotherapy (2000). He completed a Post-certification Diploma in Couple Therapy in 2013.

Individual Therapy: Sessions (50mins) are offered on a regular, weekly basis with the same appointment time and duration by agreement. Early morning, daytime and evening sessions area available, and where appropriate twice-weekly or double sessions (1hr 40mins) may be offered.

Couple Therapy: Joe’s approach to couple therapy is quite structured, drawing upon a range of communications tools and exercises to deepen or re-engage open dialogue. This offers the foundation from which the couple can work together to explore and address the challenges or conflicts that bring them to therapy.

Group Facilitation: Joe facilitates group work in professional and business contexts focused on leadership, innovation and organisational development. He also leads sessions addressing interpersonal dynamics and health and wellbeing.
