My Approach

I do not believe in a ‘one size fits all’ approach; what works well for one person might not work at all for another. I will offer a way of working which suits your individual needs and where you can feel empowered to make informed choices about your life.

I am an experienced counsellor who has worked with people from many different social and cultural backgrounds and with a wide range of issues. For an informal chat or if you have any questions about my practice or the process of therapy, please do get in touch.

Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science (Hons) Integrative Counselling
Advanced Diploma Integrative Counselling

I am committed to ensuring that my knowledge and skills are kept up to date by participating in continual personal development.

About Me

Hello and welcome. If you have found your way here you may be looking for some support to help you navigate something difficult or distressing in your life. That takes real courage. Making contact with a counsellor can be nerve wracking and scary; no doubt you might be feeling a bit nervous or confused about what counselling actually is, how it works and how it might help you. I hope that the information here might help to answer your questions and reassure you.

Perhaps you are feeling anxious, stressed or overwhelmed? Maybe you have been feeling low, fed up and unmotivated? Perhaps you have lost someone or something that you loved?

Or, maybe you have been asking yourself questions such as:

Why are relationships difficult for me?
Why do I never feel good enough?
What do I really want from life?

Talking to someone in a place of safety and without the fear or judgement can really help to make sense of your thoughts, feelings and behaviours. My aim is to provide you with a therapeutic space in which you feel cared about, respected and understood so that we can explore the distress and confusion you might be feeling sensitively and with compassion.

Together we can look to understand the problem, where it may have begun and how you might move forward. This might include issues such as anxiety, low self esteem, stress, addiction, symptoms of depression or family/relationship issues.
