Change isn't easy. But the right help can...help.
If you are considering psychotherapy/counselling, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange an initial telephone conversation. I don't charge for the first assessment session unless you continue to the second assessment.
Sessions continue to be online using Zoom.
I work with women and men experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, bereavement, prenatal and postnatal emotional difficulties, feeling disconnected or fragmented, struggling to find meaning or motivation, and other complex issues.
The process involves expressing what is troubling you, thinking together about stresses, conflicts, emotions, thoughts, behaviours, fears and losses.
We can reflect on past and present patterns, and explore different ways of feeling, being and managing.
Sometimes we will be in conversation, sometimes I will simply listen.
From time to time we will review our work, aiming towards increased resilience, reduced distress and more satisfying relationships with the people who matter to you.
My approach has a relational-developmental psychodynamic core, integrated with elements of CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) and mindfulness, informed by neuroscience.
I trained at Metanoia Institute. I hold an MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy and a Diploma in Integrative Psychodynamic Counselling.
I am accredited with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy and a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy.
