I resonate with a key finding of psychotherapy research, which is that immaterial of the theoretical approaches that psychotherapists use, the most important factor that determines a successful outcome is the therapeutic relationship itself; this being the primary vehicle for revealing how historical experiences can often underlie our here-and-now problems.
