“what lies behind & what lies before are tiny matters compared to what lies within us”
The role of therapy and what in can offer you is varied and wide but generally I support people to understand, make sense of and move forward in themselves and their lives. Whether that involves overcoming addictions, dealing with childhood trauma, making their way through loss, finding meaningful love or attending to a feeling that life is painful, stuck, stagnant or blocked.
Psychosynthesis encourages and supports individuals to make meaning, find purpose and deeply understand the 'who' of the self that is them in the world. This approach does not hold the symptom of our distress as a 'thing' to be fixed but as doorway through which we are invited to discover, heal, grow, and become more of the Self we are called to be.
People can come for as few as 6 sessions or stay for as long as it feels they need to make the changes they need. My practice is in North Manchester, 2 miles north of the city centre, easily accessible by car or public transport. I see people both in person and via Video platforms such as Zoom.
You’re warmly welcome to make contact to discuss the possibility of us working together.
I am an experienced practioner and have been in private practice as a Psychosynthesis counsellor and UKCP (United Kingdom Council Of Psychotherapy) registered Psychosynthesis Psychotherapist for over 15 years.
In addition to Psychotherapy I have an interest in the Body Mind and have trained as a Lifespan Integration Practioner. This neurological approach / tool allows me to include the nervous system in my work. Working with our most essential emotional regulation mechanisms to support safety, connection, balance, manageability and expansion, especially where someone has experienced trauma, so that each of us can become most fully who we are called to be.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
