I work in a conversational way, exploring and challenging each person's cognitive assumptions, beliefs, ways of relating, feelings and experiences and the deeper questions that give us a meaning in life. My approach is closely governed by the person's own style but always includes a gentle invitation into bodily feelings and the thoughts and images that arise from them. The interaction is respectful and can also be challenging, with an open democratic approach to working with others.
Dr Greg Madison works in a way that emphasises each person's own experience and how we each make sense of the situations we live through. This requires taking account of our cognitive, behavioural, emotional, personal, and cultural spheres of being. Learning to access and express our experience can bring fresh creativity and sensitivity to individual relationships, families, groups, and how we contribute to organisations. Greg has over twenty years of professional experience, university education and post-graduate training. He remains active in academic settings as a lecturer, supervisor, researcher and writer. He has worked therapeutically with people in a great variety of settings, from high level corporate clients to children living on the streets. Greg works with most issues, with individuals, couples, and Teams, in person and using telephone/Skype. Greg is also a psychologist and mediator and is registered provider with major private healthcare insurers in the UK.
