Hello, my name is Claire Maskery. I work with people who endured challenging events in childhood such as physical, emotional, verbal and sexual abuse, boarding school survivors and adoptees. People who experienced hurt or trauma when growing-up can find these events cast long shadows, impacting relationships, work and happiness in the present. I am a Person-Centred and experiential psychotherapist. This means I will not tell you what to do, but will support you to find your own way forwards finding a newer, easier way of living with your past.

Sometimes early experiences have helped an Adult Baby (AB) side evolve. I help men and women who identify as ABs move away from binge / purge cycles, I help them find a healthier way to manage any guilt and shame they may have and make peace with their little side. Of course this is not the case for all ABs; if you identify as an AB and you are in peace with this side of yourself – go you!

I have been successful in being awarded a place at Chester University on the PhD programme. I hold an MSc in Person-Centred and experiential psychotherapy. Visit my website for a more in-depth view of my practice and to have some common questions answered. Visit my LinkedIn page for details of my education and further CPD.

What to expect

Following your initial contact we will meet at my practice in a calm setting in a private, residential area in Sherwood, Nottingham, NG5. We can have a hot or cold drink, discuss what is troubling you and whether we both feel we are a ‘good fit’. This first meeting is your opportunity to ask any questions you may have about what you would like to address. Depending upon your needs, and what you would like to achieve, it may be our work together is short, medium or long-term. All sessions are for a full hour and usually held weekly. I charge £60 ph and cancellation without 24 hours’ notice will be charged.
