I have worked in the NHS for 18 years, firstly as a mental health nurse and since 2010 as a psychotherapist in both the NHS and Social Care. I have worked in a variety of settings and with both adults, children and teenagers. As a systemic and family psychotherapist I have a special interest in couple and family work as well as enjoying working with people on a 1:1 basis. I am experienced in working with those who have experienced significant trauma as well as people who feel that their life isn't quite the way the way that they would like it to be and are interested in finding out why this might be the case. I regularly undertake attachment based work between parents and their child on the recommendation of psychological assessments for court proceedings, I offer group supervision to staff working in residential mental health settings. I am an experienced teacher, currently I tutor on an Intermediate Systemic Therapy training course, as well as offering training programmes on developmental trauma, attachment and mental health issues. to both statutory, voluntary and private organisations.
