My name is Dr David Spalter and I am an Integrative Counselling Psychologist and Psychotherapist living and working in London.
As an integrative psychotherapist, I have been trained to work with a broad range of models and theories (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic, existential, humanistic and gestalt psychotherapy). This means that I integrate theory and approaches from various models to tailor my approach to suit your individual needs.
respect that each person experiences events differently depending on the influences from their past experiences, past relationships, cultural/socio-political background and the context in which we live. I therefore strive to understand you through your own unique lens before considering the approach that will be most beneficial.
For a period of over 10 years, I have gained extensive and varied experience, in relation to different client groups and presenting issues, through my work as a psychotherapist with GP practices, mental health teams, substance misuse projects and charity settings.
I have also worked with a wide range of people from various different cultures and backgrounds who have experienced a variety of issues that include depression, anxiety, trauma, anger management and addiction, as well those detailed below.
As a relational therapist, I place the relationship between myself and my client at the centre of my work and see this relationship as an important part of the healing process.
