My Approach

I practice from a humanistic integrative approach which means that I use theories and techniques from various psychotherapeutic perspectives. I also use a relational analytic approach which uses the relationship between therapist and client to explore and deepen the work. I have developed this way of working based on my own values, but more importantly so as to be able to work in the way that best suits your needs. Above all, it is the therapeutic relationship that I believe to be the most important aspect in healing and development.

About Me

I worked in the music business in London for over twenty years, looking after a team of staff and a wide roster of artists. Following a corporate merger, I realised that I was no longer enjoying my work and left to pursue a long held dream to study photography. Following a move to Suffolk, and a period working as a photographer and bringing up a young family, I chose counselling as my next career.
I have a Masters Degree (Advanced Clinical Practice, Counselling and Psychotherapy) from the Minster Centre in London and a Foundation Degree of Arts in Counselling.
I am an accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, a professional member of the Association for Counselling and Therapy Online and a member of the Suffolk Association for Counselling.
I am DBS checked and hold professional indemnity insurance.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I have a Certificate in Adoption Support Counselling.
I have a specialist interest in perinatal and neonatal bereavement, infertility, miscarriage, and baby and child loss.
We can work together to help you explore your 'self', looking at your earlier life experience and how this might have effected what you currently believe about yourself.
I am a member of the Association of Counselling and Therapy Online (ACTO) having trained specially to work remotely, online, on the telephone, by email, or in blended versions of all of these.
