I am a UKCP registered psychotherapist offering a safe, relaxed, non-judgemental and confidential space to explore the things that are on your mind, whether you are experiencing distressing and painful ongoing issues that leave you feeling stuck and prevent you from getting on with your life, or a temporary crisis that you need some help and support to get through.
Psychotherapy can help you explore the difficulties you are experiencing, and understand the reasons why the difficulties may have occurred. It allows you see things from a new perspective, and so bring about changes in thought patterns and behaviour so that you can move on with your life. it will also help you to gain positivity, insight, the ability to feel more in control and a stronger sense of self along the way.
I work integratively, meaning that I am able to draw on many different elements of psychotherapy in order to tailor the therapy to each individual's needs – so I work very much in collaboration with each individual. I also combine CBT into the therapy if necessary. I see individuals for both short-term work (up to 12 sessions), and for long-term ongoing work. I am a qualified clinical supervisor, and I also head up Beverley Blackman Associates, a psychotherapy and coaching clinic in Mayfair. Please see our website for more details.
I am validated by a number of private healthcare insurance companies; please contact me for details if you are insured. Self-referrals, and referrals from GP and other healthcare professionals are welcome.
