Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I offer therapy for clients suffering with anxiety. Whether there are specific circumstances causing you difficulty, or whether the cause is unclear, therapy can be a very helpful way of managing and alleviating these feelings. Working with you at a pace that feels right for you, therapy can help you to better understand your anxiety, specifically, it can help you to better understand your emotional and physical anxiety responses. Therapy can also help you to identify and implement strategies to overcome anxiety and find relief. Where anxiety relates to a situation that cannot be changed, for example, a bereavement, the therapy can help you to work on your outlook, assisting you to work on accepting things that can’t be changed.
I offer non-judgemental support for clients bringing a broad variety of personal and professional cultural issues. This can include issues around diversity and inclusion, internal culture clashes, and spiritual issues.
Whether you're experiencing low mood or depression, therapy can help to process difficult feelings and potentially find relief.
If you are struggling with feelings of stress, however large or small, I aim to offer you a safe space to gain an increased understanding of what your triggers and stressors are, and how they are impacting you, and enabling you to identify ways to manage and reduce stress in a way that is tailored to you.
Given the dramatic increases in mental health problems in the work place and in remote work due to the pandemic, therapy can help clients whether leaders of a member of the company workforce, to improve mental health, build and maintain greater support networks and develop skills and self-care strategies to better understand and improve personal wellbeing in their place of work.
