Most of the time people's lives have their ups and downs but individuals can cope with these. Sometimes, however, problems can be more severe. This can result in depression, anxiety, relationship problems, a feeling of emptiness and various bodily symptoms. Looking at possible underlying causes and exploring ways of overcoming those obstacles regularly results in more energy and a heightened sense of purpose and enjoyment. Sometimes problems can go back to experiences in the past, including abuse. I am trained as a Jungian analysts and work with concepts of C.G. Jung. This includes listening, establishing a meaningful and trusting relationship, looking at the present life situation and also at past experiences as they shaped the person we are with all our hopes and fears. I work with dreams as they can help to explore unconscious processes of our minds. I am open to questions of spirituality. I am a retired General Practitioner and I have experience in working with patients with a variety of health problems.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
