I work in an integrative person-centered approach using a variety of Developmental, Creative and Cognitive Behavioural techniques. My core training is in Transactional Analysis and I am especially interested in Attachment Theory. Both modalities have a huge impact on our our relationship with ourselves and everyone around us and are so important for positive mental health. I use these frameworks as they provide a very accessible structure and are easily understood. The techniques I use, can therefore be implemented easily and are very effective. Comparatively, I enjoy using play and creative methods with younger clients.
I really enjoy helping people through a warm relational approach and guide them to understand themselves better and then show them the tools that can help facilitate them to continue in a more positive way on their journey through life.
I have recently become affiliated with AVIVA and Private Patients.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Working face to face and remotely with adults, young people. and children I offer daytime, evening and weekend appointments and charge £50-£60 per session. Looking after our mental health is more important than ever before in these extraordinary and challenging times. The power of a safe space to talk and a supportive therapeutic relationship can be life changing.
I have worked within schools and NHS settings for over 8 years, working with a huge range of clients with wide ranging issues. These have been a mixture of short-term contracts of 6-8 sessions and longer term psychotherapy for up to 2 years. Presenting issues I have commonly worked with include self harm, eating difficulties, sleep disturbance, anxiety, depression, bereavement and life adjustment amongst many others.
