Standards, guidance and policies

Our national register of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors only includes practitioners who meet our exacting standards and training requirements

The training for psychotherapists is postgraduate masters, or masters-equivalent level specialist training. It is not normally less than four years. The training for psychotherapeutic counsellors is degree level or equivalent.
