The Association for Cognitive Analytic Therapy (ACAT) is a registered charity and a national association of around 1000 members. ACAT’s aims are: Educating health professionals and promoting proper standards and good practice in cognitive analytic therapy; Increasing awareness and understanding of cognitive analytic therapy amongst health professionals, service providers, and the public.
ACAT offers and oversees accredited courses in cognitive analytic therapy: CAT Skills Case Management Certificate CAT Foundation Certificate CAT Practitioner Diploma CAT Psychotherapist Advanced Diploma CAT Supervisor Certificate ACAT also offers introductory workshops and CPD (continuing professional development) events. Local or special interest groups within ACAT may offer such introductory courses, or other CPD events.
