We know that training to become a psychotherapist or psychotherapeutic counsellor is expensive, and we want to help. That’s why we’re once again running our Trainee Bursary Scheme.
Bursary awards are up to £1,000, depending on the applicant’s course costs, the number of applications received and funds available each year.
To be eligible you must:
- currently be on a UKCP-approved training
- be a UKCP trainee member*
- not be receiving any other bursaries.
These awards will, where we can, reflect on our commitment to diversity, and equal opportunities. Of course, they will also reflect the multi-modality nature of our membership.
We look forward to receiving applications from under-represented groups such as people with disabilities, black and minority ethnic members and those of gender and sexual diversity.
How to apply
Please send your completed form:
· by email to: email@example.com (with ‘UKCP Bursary Scheme Application’ as the title).
· by post to: UKCP Governance Officer, 2nd Floor (East), America House, 2 America Square, London EC3N 2LU.
The closing date for applications is 5PM on Friday, 22 March 2019 and bursaries will be awarded by May 2019.
We have created a poster to let people know about the scheme. If you are able to share it on a noticeboard where it may be read by trainees, please download a copy.
*If you’re not currently a UKCP member, you can apply for trainee membership. However, newly joined UKCP Trainee Members will not be ableto claim a refund of their membership fee if they cancel their membership following an unsuccessful bursary application.
