Gyanesh joined UKCP’s Membership Team in 2017, having previously worked for charities supporting male survivors of sexual abuse, adults and young people living with or affected by HIV and victims of stalking and harassment.
Having worked with vulnerable people since graduating from the University of Westminster with an English literature degree, he has been involved with the provision of services for vulnerable people working within a therapeutic framework. This often involved working in interdisciplinary teams comprised of various stakeholders ranging from social services to the Home Office, including psychotherapists and counsellors.
Gyanesh works in the Membership Team and provides information to prospective members of the UKCP as well as individuals seeking a career in psychotherapy. As a member of the membership team at the UKCP, Gyanesh also provides support to current UKCP members and processes applications for new UKCP registrants, trainees and students.
Gyanesh is currently studying for a masters in Culture and Critical Theory while working at the UKCP and volunteering as a mentor and coach for adults and young people living with HIV.
