Would you like to work in a dynamic forward-looking organisation and make a difference in mental health?
UKCP is the leading body for the education, training, accreditation and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors in the UK. We represent over 8,000 therapists who work in a range of sectors, including the NHS, schools, charities, and private practice.
We are recruiting a Policy and Advocacy Officer to support UKCP’s national and local campaigning work, with a particular focus on parliamentary outreach. They will also support our advocacy work on behalf of members.
Our key campaigning objectives include raising awareness of psychotherapy amongst key decision makers and improving access to psychotherapy in the public sector. We also take an active role advocating on behalf of our members, and local therapy services where our members work, such as those facing potential downsizing or closure.
This an exciting opportunity to become involved in mental health campaigning. The position is part of our communications team reporting to the Policy and Public Affairs Manager.
UKCP offers a wide range of benefits including generous annual leave, flexible working, training and development opportunities.
