3 December 2018
We are pleased to announce the result of the UKCP trustee elections. There were three candidates for two vacancies at this trustee election. Just over 10 per cent of eligible members voted, which is very positive news for the democratic health of our organisation.
The newly elected trustees are: Juliet Rosenfeld and Jacqueline McCouat. As reported below, Andy Cottom was elected unopposed as Vice Chair. These terms of office commence from 1 January 2019.
We’d like to thank Olivia Djouadi for standing – she lost out by a narrow margin.
12 November 2018
Voting is now open in the UKCP Trustee elections. All full clinical members, non-clinical members and organisational members of UKCP are eligible to vote, and should have received instructions on how to vote from the Electoral Reform Services who are administering this election.
If you are eligible to vote and have not received your voting instructions, please contact UKCP Governance Officer, Alex Crawford, by email on email@example.com or by telephone on 020 7014 9962.
For votes to count, membership must be up-to-date, when the voting period opens and when it closes.
15 October 2018
When we called for nominations for the vacant positions on our Board of Trustees, we were seeking a Vice-Chair Trustee and a Trustee.
We received one nomination for Vice-Chair – Andy Cottom – and he is, therefore, elected unopposed as the new UKCP Vice-Chair. Andy will take office from 1 January 2019. Read Andy’s candidate statement.
As Andy is a current serving UKCP Trustee, his move to Vice-Chair has left an additional vacant Trustee position. This means that there are now two trustee positions up for election.
We have three UKCP Trustee candidates and they are:
supported by Bernice Gorringe
supported by Dr Maria Luca and Michael Green
supported by Keith Carlton and Mary MacCallum-Sullivan
During the campaigning period, we offered the opportunity to submit questions to the candidates for publication on this website. We received seven questions by the deadline.
Code of Conduct for UKCP elections
We have developed a code of conduct for UKCP elections. It applies to all UKCP members as well as candidates, their proposers and other ‘active’ supporters.
The objectives of the code are to:
- ensure that campaigning by candidates is carried out in an honest, fair and respectful way, and
- protect the standing and reputation of UKCP candidates, members, officers and employees.
