Membership Committee: registrant and lay members

We are currently looking for UKCP registered members and lay members to join our well-established Membership Committee on a voluntary basis.

The Membership Committee works with UKCP colleges and the regulation team to:

  • consider applications from organisations applying to join UKCP
  • oversee the removal process for re-accreditation and the registrant sample audit.

Key details for UKCP-registered applicants:

  • Must be a UKCP registered member for at least the last three years.
  • Previous experience on a UKCP committee is desirable, as well as an interest in regulatory matters.

Key skills that lay members bring to our committee:

  • To provide the committee with a broader perspective of membership processes.
  • A keenness to get involved with the assessment of applications received from organisations wishing to join UKCP.
  • Lay members must not be practising psychotherapy or psychotherapeutic counselling.
